Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What is the difference between liquid screed and traditional floor screed?
Because the screed is applied as a liquid, it’s faster and more efficient to lay. Perfectly flat floors every time.
Question: How long before the screed can be walked on?
Generally, between 24 and 48 hours after laying, although this will be confirmed at our site visit. It does need to be fully dry before other flooring can be laid.
Question: How is the screed delivered?
A specialist lorry delivers the liquid flowing screed ready to use. It is then pumped into your premises by the use of dedicated pumps.
Question: Do I have to prime the screed?
Yes, if any adhesive is used for your selected choice of flooring, you will need to prime. Again, you can discuss this at your site visit and our installer will advise.
Question: What preparations do I need to make before delivery?
Please check that a safe and adequate access has been provided. We may request you sign an indemnity if access from the roadway is considered unsuitable. We are happy to supply and install insulation, polythene and perimeter strips needed prior to your floor screeds being laid.
We are here and happy to answer any other questions and queries you may have.
